What an insipid television show.

It started off great, and then there was the fateful Carlos Hathcock episode where two guys who don’t know guns decide to disprove a story about a very, VERY lucky shot. Knowing ballistics and being an avid shooter, watching them was almost painful.
They lost credibility after they “busted” that “myth” — Hathcock didn’t boast of it, he knew it was a once-in-a-lifetime shot through another shooter’s scope and he made it on instinct. Blah, Mythbusters.

I didn’t see a lot of the newer episodes, although I did really enjoy it when it first came out. Despite their science-ish approach, it was still an entertainment show first and foremost. The episodes that stick out most are the one where they tried testing the penetration of bullets in water, firing chickens from a cannon at an airplane windscreen, and trying to clean dried-on cement from the inside of a cement mixer.
They’ve done some fun stuff, but the bigger news to me was that they were only recently ended; I thought they had been cancelled long ago.

Whats not to like? They’ve shot bowling balls through windows, blown up stuff, melted stuff, faceplanted on stuff & made a car-plow.
The crazy thing is that Jamie makes me laugh staying so stoic during crazy stuff.

Yeah, all the physics is cool, it’s just that the guys are wankers.
